No Sugar Added Baked Apple Crisp

There’s something about crumbly, buttery, crunchy topping baked onto soft, sweet apples. Some consider this an Autumn recipe but with fresh Honeycrisp apples you can make this anytime! I ate this as one serving for breakfast recently and it was delicious. So simple and naturally sweet!

Here’s what you need:

  • 2 Honeycrisp Apples

  • 1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon

  • 1/3 C. Almond Flour

  • 1 Tbsp. Coconut Oil (I used Virgin, Unrefined for some coconut flavor but anything works)

  • Sprinkle of Pumpkin Pie Spice

  • 2 Tbsp. Chopped Pecans

Here’s what to do:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.

  2. Wash and dice apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon and stir.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine almond flour, coconut oil, pumpkin pie spice, and chopped pecans.

  4. Place apple and cinnamon mixture in an oven safe ramekin and top with almond flour mixture.

  5. Bake for 45 minutes or until apples are fork tender and topping is golden brown.

  6. Let cool, grab a fork, and enjoy!
